Proposition P
On August 3, voters in Clayton will vote on
Proposition P
,
which is a referendum to increase the City of Clayton’s tax levy to fund the relocation of the police station from its current site (227 S. Central Avenue) to a new facility at the Heritage Building (10 S. Brentwood Boulevard).
The levy would go into effect in 2013 and, because of other debt being retired by the City that year, would represent a $0.03 increase over the current levy. For the owner of a $500,000 home, this $0.03 increase means approximately $28.50 per year.
While many Clayton residents have some information about Proposition P, the City is committed to ensuring that all citizens have the information they need to make an informed choice.
As part of this effort, the City provides this
