The City of Clayton has established a TIF Commission to address requests from developers for financial assistance. With every new development proposal, the City receives requests for public-private financing. The City has studied these requests and feels it would be worthwhile to establish a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Commission. Creating a TIF Commission does not mean that the City is planning to implement a TIF.
