Hockey Groups/Private RentalsFor a rate of $140 resident, $160 corporate or $175 non-resident for per hour you may bring in up to 100 people for your private use of the open air rink. Accommodations for larger groups can also be made. These times are availalbe only when there is no public session. Birthday Ice Skating Parties Have yourself a jammin’ party at the Clayton Shaw Park Ice Rink! Birthday parties may be scheduled during most Public Skating sessions. The special party rate of $75 for residents, $100 corporate or $120 for non-residents includes use of a private room with tables and chairs and admission with skate rental for up to 20 people. If you are planning a bigger party, extra people may be added at $5/per person. You may bring in your own food, drink and cake to enjoy in your party room. Ice Rink Task ForceThe Ice Rink Task Force was appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Board of Alderman to consider issues related to the operation of the Shaw Park Ice Rink, but not limited to: current conditions and usage of the existing ice rink, potential partnerships, and future options for operations.At the October 9, 2007 Board of Aldermen meeting, the Task Force presented its final report. The group recommended hiring a consultant to review specific design consideration for a year-round, covered, open-air, multi-purpose facility at the current ice rink site with renovations and potential new buildings.
